Deb brings over 16 years of experience in the local workforce development system of the six-county region, beginning in 1998 under the Job Training Partnership Act.  The local workforce development system transitioned to the Workforce Investment Act, which was implemented locally in 1999.  Having been an integral part of the evolution of workforce development in the region over time, her experience and knowledge will support and assist the region to more effectively transition to the requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

Her previous work experience included over 14 years in healthcare during the implementation of managed care, as well as responsibility for specialty projects such as physician recruitment, cardiology and sleep lab planning, as well as other healthcare facility expansion projects.  She played a key role in supporting healthcare leadership with the challenging merger of two rural medical centers into a single, state-of-the-art healthcare facility for the region.
