WDB Members

 

The NWPA Workforce Development Board (WDB) is comprised of members representing business, labor, education, social services, and government agencies throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. Working in cooperation with chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, planning commissions, and others, the Board focuses its development activities on key industry segments that include electronics manufacturing, food processing, construction, health care, metal fabrication, plastics, technology, lumber and hardwoods, oil and gas, transportation, and mining. The Board also administers federal and state funds for programs targeted to adults, dislocated workers, and young people through five PA CareerLink® offices in Erie, Crawford, Clarion, Oil Region (Venango), and Warren

Monica Daquilante, HR Director of the Rouse Estate was recently appointed to the NWPA Workforce Development Board.  Monica will represent Forest County as a private sector member through June 30, 2021.  Monica began her career as a LPN and worked in both long term and acute care settings.  She later earned a BS in Rehabilitative Science from Clarion University and a MA in Industrial Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She spent several years as a Human Resources professional at Penn State University and eventually became a Staff Educator on the University Park Campus.  In her most recent position, she directed the Home Care Agency for Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville.  Monica has two sons, both graduates of Penn State, who reside in Leechburg and Claysville, PA.  She currently resides with her husband, Brian in Tionesta.  In her spare time, she enjoys running, camping, kayaking and spending time with her two yorkies, Mia and Dudley.
