WDB Members


The NWPA Workforce Development Board (WDB) is comprised of members representing business, labor, education, social services, and government agencies throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. Working in cooperation with chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, planning commissions, and others, the Board focuses its development activities on key industry segments that include electronics manufacturing, food processing, construction, health care, metal fabrication, plastics, technology, lumber and hardwoods, oil and gas, transportation, and mining. The Board also administers federal and state funds for programs targeted to adults, dislocated workers, and young people through five PA CareerLink® offices in Erie, Crawford, Clarion, Oil Region (Venango), and Warren

Mr. Krankota has experience as a Public Educator and a Commissioned Officer in the military.


Mr. Krankota holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Slippery Rock State College in Slippery Rock, PA and a Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He also attended numerous professional development courses throughout his military career. Rich is a certified Veterans Service Officer and has a teaching certification


Rich is an asset to the Workforce Development Board through his integrity and dedication, as well as his decision making and problem solving experience. He is not troubled to confront an issue and is able to realize the residual effects of a potential decision.


Outside of work, Rich enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and participating in various recreational activities, especially golf.
