Dislocated Worker Program

 

The Dislocated Worker Program, under Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014, is designed, like the Adult Program, to provide quality employment and training services to assist eligible individuals in finding and qualifying for meaningful employment, and to help employers find the skilled workers they need to compete and succeed in business.NWPA WIA Job Fair - Dislocated Worker Program

 

Dislocated workers, or individuals who have received notification of either lay off or termination from a place of employment due to reasons beyond his or her control, can seek services similar to those offered in the Adult Program including. While the services for Adult and Dislocated workers may be the same, Title I of WIOA allocated separate funding streams for Dislocated Worker programming.
