Northwest Pennsylvania Workforce Needs Assessment Survey of Employers
Posted on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:23 PM

Northwest Pennsylvania Job Connect and Northwest Pennsylvania CareerLink® are working with a team from Community Science and BCT Partners to understand the needs of employers and residents of Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Venango and Warren Counties. We are reaching out to you and your organization with an invitation to help shape the region’s workforce development strategy. Your honest perspective as a northwest Pennsylvania employer is critical to making this community the best possible place to do business, live, and work. This project is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.

The goal of this survey is to collect information about the demand for workers and the skills required of workers, both at the local level and regionally. The resulting information can be used by employers like you, economic developers, government officials, and educational administrators to guide their decisions on issues related to workforce development, training, and employee recruitment programs.

Your organization may choose to receive the following as thanks for your participation.

  • A free report that compares your data to other employers in the region after the full results have been released to the public by NWPA Job Connect.
  • A badge of recognition that you can post on a website, social media, or at a place of business to publicize your contribution and recognition in media or other venues, if desired.

The survey includes questions about the basic characteristics of your organization, current job vacancies, future plans for the organization’s workforce, experiences with job applicants and training, approaches to advertising vacancies, employee retirements, employee benefits, and approaches to addressing barriers to employment. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Participation in this survey is voluntary. The names of individuals and organizations that respond to the survey will not be attached to any of the specific comments that are shared. The information gathered will remain confidential and all results will be combined with those of other respondents. Once completed, final results by county and region will be made available via an online platform.

Please complete the survey by following the link included below.

If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, please contact Brandon Coffee-Borden, Managing Associate with Community Science, at bcoffeeborden@communityscience.com. Thank you in advance for your time and perspective.
