Susan has worked in the NWPA local workforce development system since 2012. She began her career at the PA CareerLink® Crawford County, where she worked as a Career Counselor, helping those who sought post-secondary education. After five years as a Career Counselor, Susan moved into the Quality Assurance Manager position, where she trained staff and monitored processes and cases. Eventually, she became the Deputy Project Director where she helped oversee the local Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, with a focus on youth programs.

In 2201, Susan moved to the Compliance & Policy Specialist position with NWPA Job Connect (board staff). Front line and managerial positions have provided Susan with the skills, experience, and knowledge needed to ensure processes and procedures work and lead to positive outcomes. Recently named the Director of NWPA Job Connect, Susan will continue to provide workforce program support to the six-county region. Along with the team, they will help foster current and new relationships with businesses, agencies, and training providers.

Prior to joining workforce, Susan worked at a local elementary school with students from grades K-6. She holds a PA Elementary Teaching Certificate and a Master’s in the Science of Education from Drexel University. She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Penn State University.
